Paul Gunther

Paul Gunther, Minnesota Orchestra Principal Librarian, trained as a percussionist. He started at the Minnesota Orchestra Library in 1975, learning his profession from a couple of hundred orchestra musicians who have been his colleagues over the years.

He was a founding member in 1983 of MOLA (Major Orchestra Librarians Association). He served as MOLA's first newsletter editor and later for six years on the MOLA Board of Officers, including two terms as president. In the Minnesota Orchestra he has served several terms on the Members Committee, including as Co-Chair, and twice on the musicians' Contract Negotiation Committee.
