Nicole Cragin

Nicole Cragin

Nicole Cragin is studying with David Ying at the Eastman School of Music working toward her bachelor's degree in Cello Performance, with a certificate in the Arts Leadership Program. Her career aspirations center on becoming an arts administrator, performing, and teaching music. An avid enthusiast of all genres of music, Cragin frequently performs contemporary works as well as standard repertoire. She values the power of art and seeks opportunities to bring music to communities with little access to it. Cragin created the Eastman Community Outreach program, which gives students opportunities to perform, teach, and serve those in the Rochester community who do not have regular access to the high caliber of music at Eastman. Such humanitarian goals inspire her passion for saving the arts in America; she dedicates much time to solving the problems in the arts world through her writing. Cragin will graduate in May 2011.
