This section is for you! Just because you sit in the back doesn't mean you don't have anything to say. Step up front for a while!

Hi, I'm Steve Marcus. As a freelancer, I play tuba in some of the regional orchestras in the Chicago area and double on piano/celeste/keyboard. I'm the tuba player for Chicago Brass Choir, a 14-piece ensemble.
I'm also Co-Founder, Tuba Section Leader, and BBb Bass of Chicago Brass Band, a traditional British-type brass (NABBA). If you are a brass or percussion player in the Chicago area, please inquire about vacancies and auditioning!

Steve,
My name is Kurt Gildow, and oddly enough, we're friends on facebook. I would love some more information on any open auditions the brass band might be holding. Currently I am teaching tuba/euphonium at Concordia University as well as some music education classes. I happen to play a Mirafone 191 5-valve BB-flat and an Alexander Eb. I just graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts last May and one of my final concerts was with Mark Ridenour conducting our large brass ensemble. I had a great time and would be interested in playing with your group. Let me know what is available.
